I began my college experience 100% online. At first, this was very difficult for me. I was very used to a strict schedule. I tried to sign up for all synchronous classes so I had a strict schedule, but most of my classes ended up being asynchronous. Since the start of the school year, I have learned how to better manage my time and make my own schedule that works best for me. As much as I didn't like all of my classes being online, it was a blessing in  disguise. My grandma has been very sick and in the hospital, so I was able to go home and visit a lot with her, and if my classes were in person I would not have been able to spend that time with her. When I am a teacher, I will try to help my students as much as possible with any technical difficulties that they have, and I will also try to find many online resources that will help them navigate the course.     Open Education Resources(OER) are very helpful resources for teachers and students that are free of charge.       When working on the web assignment I feel that I learned a lot. When I was first started working on the project I had a lot of trouble. It was very hard for me to navigate the website "Weebly." After some practice on the website, I started to become familiar with the software and was able to navigate it. I learned how to create and design a website, and to add links and pages to my own website. I think that this will be very useful in my future because a website is a simple site that allows students to find multiple resources for their class.  Ms. Propps Website     Diigo is a very interesting website. It is very useful in a class setting because you can share interesting articles, blogs, essays, pictures, etc. I think that it will be very useful in my future class settings for this reason. Students can also annotate and attach a sticky note on articles which is a very neat tool. When I was using Diigo, I had to first learn how to navigate it, but then I learned how to

When I was looking at different class websites I noticed a few similar things. All of the class websites had a home page or introduction pages with links to other pages attached to it. Most of the class websites also had a student resource page that gave the students access to different helpful tools. Most of the websites also had different tabs for different classes that the teacher taught. The link to the site is  Class Site .      When I am a teacher I think I will use a lot of different types of technology. I will make a newsletter for my class and send them to their parents so that they know what we are doing in the class. I will also use technology when teaching. I will use smartboards or projectors in lessons. I also plan to have a class website where I can post the assignments and resources for the class. I will have my students use sites such as Google docs, Trello, and Remind.      When I first started working on wiki I was very confused. I thought it was very hard to n

I have not used Diigo in the past, but I am learning how to use it now. I think that it is a very useful website because you can see all of the articles that your classmates have found. I think that parts of the website are very easy and other parts of it are complicated. I think that bookmarking the websites and articles you find is very simple and easy. I also find the website to be confusing and complicated when it comes to adding the sticky note and annotating the websites.    In our class, we have had a blog assignment every week. Before this class, I had never used a blog before, but I like the idea of it. It helps you as a student to see the thought process and ideas of your classmates when they post it on their blog. I think that a blog will be useful when I am a teacher because I will be able to post ideas or information on the blog.    Web 2.0s are very helpful tools that students and teachers can use. A Web 2.0 tool that I will use when I am a teacher is Google Docs. I t

In my past, I have not used Twitter very often and I was not a fan of using it. I did have a Twitter but it got hacked so I deleted it. Recently my opinion on Twitter has changed. I have been able to keep up with news, see current events happening in education, and have been able to keep up with things happening on campus. I think that Twitter is beneficial for staying updated in the community and communicating with others on the platform. I could see Twitter being helpful in my future career. I could easily communicate with other teachers, and I could also stay updated with the current events happening in education.   The digital divide is a very prominent issue in classes today. Many students do not have access to computers, iPads, or any type of other smart devices. This digital divide can have a major impact on student success. Especially right now, if a student does not have access to a smart device, they are going to struggle in school. The digital divide could be caused by ma

When I was looking at the Standards and Technology Matrices for ELA I chose to look at the 5th grade standards. The standard I chose was LAFS.5.W.2.6 which goal is for students to be able to use the internet and technology with minimum help from adults and to show keyboard skills. It also wants the student to be able to complete a two page writing in one sitting. I feel prepared to teach this to my future students with my current skill set because I have a lot of experience with writing papers online and completing them in a timely manner. I believe I would be able to show them helpful websites where it would help them with their keyboard skills. I also feel unprepared for this standard because I think it is going to be difficult for students in fifth grade to stay focused and complete a two paged paper in one sitting.    I chose the fifth-grade social studies instructional resources. The resource that was provided was 13 different lesson plans. One resource that stuck out to me was
